Climb Magazine Competition!
The GORE-TEX® Experience Tour has teamed up with Climb to offer one of their readers the chance of a lifetime – to win a place on an expedition to China with one of the world’s leading alpinists - French climber, Christophe Dumarest. The international team, led by Christophe, will head to the Sigun Mountains in November for 10 days to seek out new lines.

This will not be an easy challenge, so in order to select the right candidate for the trip, the winner will head to the Mont Blanc area of France on 4th/5th August to compete against another 3 other climbers for the one expedition place.
Whatever happens, at the very least, you will spend two days climbing with Christophe, spend one night in a high altitude mountain hut and get to report your experience in the Vertical Diary section of Climb magazine. And, if you make it on the trip to China you’ll have a chance to tell that story too!
To enter simply email us explaining what your motivation is for applying for this GORE-TEX® Experience Tour project, giving details of your mountaineering experience. Climb are looking for a climber who is comfortable on 6000m plus mountains and who has experience of climbing on different terrains.
Terms & Conditions
- You must live in a European Country
- You must be minimum 18 years of age
- Be available to travel for 2 days in August 2012
- Be prepared to travel for about 10 days in November 2012
- Be prepared to organise your own visa for China (costs to be refunded)
- Have a good experience of mountaineering enabling you to climb 6000m high mountains in various environments like ice, rock, mixed etc
